"Drink More Water" Song Encourages Healthy Beverage Intake

The “Drink More Water” song was commissioned by the Division of General Pediatrics and Philip R. Lee Institute of Health Policy Studies at the University of California, San Francisco in collaboration with California Food Policy Advocates. The song (available in both English and Spanish) is one element of a multi-faceted intervention focused on encouraging healthy beverage intake among 2-5 year old children through child care facilities. The song was created with support from Get Healthy San Mateo County. Andy Zamenes, an award-winning children’s songwriter/singer from San Mateo County, California provided in-kind support for the creation of both the music video and the instructional video for educators.
